Coach Burris fell in love with the energy, athleticism, and camaraderie of cheerleading at the age of 14 as a cheerleader at Blythewood High School. She went on to cheer collegiately at the College of Charleston, which during her time there she also first began coaching gymnastics and all-star cheerleading. Upon moving back to Columbia, she accepted the JV Head Cheer coach position at Ridge View High School, becoming the head coach of the program 1.5 years later. As the Head Cheerleading Coach, she has played an instrumental role in shaping and elevating the cheerleading program and her athletes to new heights.
