Coach Joshua Staley brings over 20 years of head coaching experience to the game, establishing himself as one of the most respected and successful basketball coaches in South Carolina. With a remarkable track record that includes multiple state championships, Coach Staley has become a cornerstone of excellence and consistency in high school basketball.

Under his leadership, Ridge View Boys Basketball has reached new heights, capturing the 2024 AAAA State Championship and the 2025 AAAAA Division I State Championship. These victories are part of an extraordinary run, with Ridge View winning six state championships since 2018, a testament to the program’s dominance and the culture Coach Staley has built. In fact, the Blazers have won a title in six of the past eight seasons, firmly establishing themselves as a powerhouse under his guidance.

But Coach Staley's impact reaches far beyond wins and trophies.

He is a passionate mentor and leader who is deeply committed to the holistic development of his players. Coach Staley takes pride in molding young men not only into high-level athletes, but into responsible, disciplined, and character-driven individuals. Through his leadership, countless student-athletes have learned the values of hard work, accountability, resilience, and teamwork, lessons that serve them well both on and off the court.

Coach Staley invests time in building strong relationships with his players, often serving as a father figure, role model, and life coach. His mentorship has helped many of his players pursue opportunities at the collegiate level and beyond, while also preparing them to become leaders in their families, communities, and careers.

Off the court, Coach Staley is a devoted husband and proud father of four. He leads by example, demonstrating the same values in his personal life that he instills in his players:  faith, humility, integrity, and dedication.
