Steven Estrada
We are excited to have Coach Estrada join our staff as the Head Boys Soccer Coach! Coach Estrada, known as "Profe Estrada," is a seasoned soccer coach and player. Born in Queens, NY, and raised in Colombia, South America, Profe Estrada began his professional career in Colombia with Escuela Carlos Sarmiento Lora.
He played in World Cup and Gold Cup qualifiers for the Puerto Rico National Team and competed in prestigious leagues like Puerto Rico Bayamon FC and River Plate PR. Coach Estrada also played collegiate Soccer for Western Nebraska Community College and Des Moines Menace.
In coaching, Profe Estrada has served as the Senior National Team Assistant Coach for Puerto Rico and Head Coach for Puerto Rico's U15 and U20 National Teams. He was the Coaching Director and U17 Head Coach at the Sporting International Soccer Academy.
He holds a Master's in Human Resources from Florida International University and a Bachelor's in Sports Training & Sports Management from the American University of Puerto Rico. He has various coaching licenses, including the USS D National License.
Currently, Profe Estrada serves as an Officer in the United States Army. He is happily married to Karen Estrada and has two children: Lorena and Diego. His family provides a strong support system and is an integral part of his journey.
