We are excited to have Coach Reese join our staff as the Head Softball Coach! Coach Reese is an accomplished sports professional and educator, celebrated for her contributions as an athlete and coach. A 2000 graduate of Ridge View High, Coach Reese excelled in basketball, softball, and tennis, earning induction into the RVHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2023.

She earned a full athletic scholarship to NC A&T, excelling as a pitcher and shortstop, and holds a BA in Speech Language Pathology. Coach Reese received her MAT from Purdue University in 2018 and is a doctoral candidate there, with graduation anticipated in May 2025. Her coaching career includes roles at Lower Richland High School, Winston Salem State University, Fairfield Central High School, and South Carolina State University. She is currently the Co-Director of Carolina Reds RBI and the Founder of HBCU Softball (Prospect Camps).

Cheretta is married to Calvin 'Pokey' Reese, Jr., and they have two children, Andrea Stevenson and Calvin Reese, IlI (Tre). She is the daughter of Bertha and Amos Stevenson, Sr., with siblings Cheretta Sumter and Amos Stevenson, Jr
