Nathaniel Poole

Nathaniel Poole grew up in the small town of Keysville, Georgia, where he walked a dirt road each day to catch a bus that took him an hour to school and back, a routine that continued even after wrestling practice. He began his wrestling journey in the 10th grade at Burke County High School in Waynesboro, GA. During his high school career, he qualified for sectionals all three years and competed twice at the State Duals tournament.

In his senior year, Coach Poole was offered the opportunity to wrestle at the collegiate level but chose instead to focus on his long-term career goals. After graduating from college, he relocated to Lexington, South Carolina, where he began working as a substitute teacher. That role gave him the chance to volunteer as a wrestling coach at River Bluff High School for a summer.

Coach Poole joined Ridge View High School during the 2024–2025 school year as a teacher and assistant wrestling coach. That season, two girls qualified for the state tournament, a strong sign of the program's growing potential. Since then, he has dedicated his time to building the Ridge View wrestling program through summer training and development.

Now serving as the Head Coach for both the girls and boys wrestling teams, Coach Poole is committed to taking the program to the next level. He is passionate about helping student-athletes grow both on and off the mat and is grateful for the opportunity to lead the Ridge View Wrestling program.
