With a passion that lies at the intersection of sports, growth, adventure and leadership, Brian Rosefield has dedicated over two decades of his professional career to fostering athletic excellence and integrity in educational institutions. As the Athletic Director at Ridge View High School, Brian is committed to elevating the experiences of student-athletes, coaches, staff, families and community members while ensuring student-athletes achieve success in both sports and academics.

A native of Sumter, SC, Coach Rosefield holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from The University of South Carolina, where he was a student manager for the Men's Basketball team working with Coach Eddie Fogler and Coach Dave Odom. 

Upon finishing his undergraduate studies, he accepted the Girls Basketball, Volleyball and Boys Golf positions at Calhoun Academy in St. Matthews, SC.  Loving his time there, Brian decided that he was going to dedicate his life to education.

He earned his Master's of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Business Education from The University of South Carolina while working once again with the Men's Basketball team, this time as a Graduate Assistant.  The Gamecocks won NITs in 2005 and 2006 during his time there.

After his time at USC, Coach Rosefield accepted the JV Boys Basketball Head Coach/Varsity Boys Basketball Assistant Coaching position at Ridge View High School. He also became the Boys Cross Country Head Coach leading the Blazers to consecutive State Runner-Up finishes while amassing 9 Region Championships.  Also coaching Girls Cross Country, Boys Golf and Boys Track and Field during his first nine years at Ridge View, Brian developed an understanding of coaching a variety of sports.  

Coach Rosefield was named the Ridge View Athletic Director during the summer of 2015.  Under his leadership the Blazers have won 9 SCHSL State Championships and seen multiple facilities upgrades. He has also served as the Director for The Bojangles Bash, an international elite high school basketball showcase, that has been held at Ridge View since 2014.  This event has grown to be one of the best destinations for top high school basketball teams from around the world to come and compete.

Brian is a firm believer in the power of sports to transform lives, bring hope to student-athletes, and instill life-long learning among young adults. He is committed to a student-centered approach that prioritizes the academic, social, emotional and personal development of student-athletes, coaches and families.  

In 2016, led by Coach Rosefield, the Ridge View Athletic Department adopted the Mission Statement of #NextLevel.  Often you can hear him say, “We are here as coaches to help our student-athletes grow to whatever their next level is. It is all about growth. We are also going to do things at a higher level here within our Athletic Department to deliver great experiences for our student-athletes.  Lastly, we will do all we can to help our student-athletes realize their dreams of playing sports at the next level.”
