This weekend, the cross country team opens up at USC Aiken for the USC Aiken two miler.
The Boys team is lead by 2x All State and 2024 Nike All Americans seniors Macaire N’twa , & Darrell Price. Senior Aaron Cameron is next up in line to help the team ,followed by sophomore Orin Striggles , Juniors Will Barkan, Malik ward , and Justus Sumpter rounding out the top 7.
“We lost a really good senior class last year, however any squad led by Macaire N’twa will always be in the mix. I’m expecting a big season out of him and for his leadership to push the others to the next level “ - Coach Don.
On the girls side , they are led by Two time
New balance national qualifier Nyla Aiken , followed by Senior Kamora outen , Junior Jael Pratt, sophomores Lauryn Cameron & Kaelyn Williams, with Freshman Kristiana Murphy and Jaylen Hollins rounding out the Top 7.
“ I’m confident in this groups ability to be competitive. They have been getting after the whole summer and i think as a collective, my group is ready to take that next step. A lot of this crew was apart of our competitive xc season last year , and some played big roles in the 2024 track state championship. This is a team that is deep and i truly believe we can put multiple lineups out there and still be competitive. The youth in this program has me excited. “ - Coach Stackhouse III
